LA Sample Sale with Cheri of Scout Holiday
Scout Holiday‘s Cheri Messerli is a seasoned Steven Alan Sample Sale shopper. This girl has an amazing eye. You know when you’re out shopping and you see a girl looking at something, and then put it down, and then you discreetly go and pick it up and buy it for yourself? That’s the kind of style Cheri has. So we knew Cheri, and her partners in crime David and Scout, would give us the real insider details about the inaugural Steven Alan LA Sample Sale.
LA now has its own Steven Alan sample sale, and without the crazy-long line of the infamous New York sale. I’m sure it won’t last long as more people become aware of this place. The location couldn’t be better—right next to Alcove in Los Feliz, a really nice place where I love to eat brunch.
I highly recommend getting to the sale right away before the amazing dresses by Some Odd Rubies and the exclusive Sunshine and Shadow for Steven Alan dresses are gone. There were some great Acne and 3.1 Phillip Lim pieces; lots of cute Geren Ford onesies; and of course a great selection of Steven Alan’s classic shirts, ruffled underwear in a variety of prints that I love, and some really cute nautical dresses I had been eyeing in the shop back in New York. There were even Lover swimsuits, which makes this sale a great place to stock up for next summer—or next week, if this heatwave continues in LA!
Sunshine & Shadow for Steven Alan, Steven Alan Collection
There were some Steven Alan men’s pieces that I was really tempted to buy, like an amazing rain slicker and some perfect knit striped shirts (if only they had my size!). My dog Scout had a good time seeing all the other dogs who kept stopping in, and we even met Steven Alan, who can always be spotted at the sample sale in New York. There was a good crowd, but there are still plenty of deals left. For me, the Steven Alan sales always have something to offer that I can’t resist. I’ve bought so many things I love, and now I don’t have to go to New York to find them!
