NYC Road Trip: Storm King Art Center

    The fine weather last weekend provided the perfect excuse to get out of the city for a day trip, and the destination we set our sights on was Storm King Art Center in Mountainville. Just a short ride away from Manhattan the sprawling sculpture garden was the perfect place to take in the outdoors, admire the work of both world-famous and lesser-known artists, and a picnic lunch. Some snapshots:

    {A few Mark Di Suvero works}

    {Arnaldo Pomodoro’s “The Pietrarubbia Group: il fondamento, l’uso, il rapporto”}

    Alexander Calder’s “The Arch}

    {Calder’s “Black Flag”}

    {“Personage of May” by David Smith}

    {Storm King in bloom}

    If you work up an appetite, swing by Woody’s All Natural for their homemade milkshakes before heading back to the city.
