Milk & Honey: Contemporary Art in California, comes recommended by our West Coast staff. Curated by the late Justin Van Hoy, the book features the work of both established and emerging California artists, across a variety of mediums, and celebrates the region’s contribution to contemporary imagery. The aesthetic influence of graffiti art, surf, and skate culture unique to the Golden State unites the works of the diverse group of artists, which includes Ed Ruscha, Piero Golia, Ed Templeton, Cleon Peterson, Megan Whitmarsh, Sage Vaughan, Ye Rin Mok, RETNA, and many others.
