We presented our Fall ‘13 collection at the Box at Lincoln Center yesterday (our first time showing at the venue). It was great to see both new and familiar faces, and to celebrate the result of months of work. Many thanks to our staff and partners for helping us make it happen.
Loosely inspired by the effortless style of post bop musicians, for men, and Francoise Hardy, for women, Steven and the design team created a collection of foundation pieces consisting of American basics (in the form of easy suits, luxurious knits, and perfectly fitting shirts) personalized through plays with proportion (dresses over pants, turtlenecks with shirttails peeking out), pops of rich hues such as wine, mustard, and seafoam, and the mixture of textures (nylon layered over wool, leather with velvet). Some modern, urban updates included suits with or without tie, with shirts buttoned to the top or layered crewneck knits as underpinnings, sweatpants paired with suede bombers and oversized mohair blazers.
You can view a video and images all of the looks from the presentation below, and check out behind the scenes photos on Facebook and Instagram.
