Steven Alan Spring 2014: Indigo Discharge Geo Print
March 6th, 2014 | In Stock, New Arrivals, Spring 2014, Staff Picks
For Spring ’14, Steven and the design team created an indigo discharge geo print, which was used for several pieces in our collection. The fabric is a lightweight Japanese denim, sewn in the US. To make the print, the fabric underwent an exhaustive wash process that breaks the fibers and gives it a special malleability and hand feel. The garments are pre-shrunk, and we had to test the shrinkage very carefully before going into production. Several samples later, we were finally able to achieve the effect we wanted, and the indigo discharge geo print has quickly become a staff and customer favorite.
Rosie from our Nolita Women’s shop shared some of her favorite pieces:
SA New Classic Shirtdress in Indigo Discharge Geo worn over the City Pant, with Multi Strap heels, Mansur Gavriel Large Tote in Brandy/Blue, and Karen Walker Number One sunglasses (available in store only).
Our Reverse Seam Shirt in Indigo Discharge Floral, Hope Saver Tee in Dusty Pink, SA City Jean in Indigo Discharge Geo, SA Multi Strap Heel Sandal in White, Steven Alan Optical Dudley frames in Burnt Sienna.
