April Staff Favorites: James and Julia
April 25th, 2014 | In Stock, New Arrivals, Staff Picks
James from our Chelsea shop and Julia from our Brooklyn store share a few of their favorite things:
James is wearing the Filson Packable Selway Jacket / Acne College Black Sweatshirt / Steven Alan Single Needle Shirt / A.P.C. Petit Standard Jean / Blundstone Original Boot 510 / Shinola Runwell 47mm Chrono Watch
Hometown: Queens, New York
Listening to: Cocteau Twins, which are also heavily featured on our store’s playlist. I have a big place in my heart for the 80′s and I don’t know how I overlooked this band. She sings with much passion.
Pets: None personally but when I visit home I see Maui, a stray kitten my younger brother has adopted.
Reading: Women by Charles Bukowski
Last film you saw: Snowpiercer
Neighborhood spots: I like going into Chelsea Market and seeing the changes that happen seasonally. Story next door is a fun shop that constantly changes. I also love walking around the area where you can find quiet tree-lined streets.

Hometown: Salt Lake City, Utah
Listening to: I never have an answer for this question! The last play I saw, however, was No Man’s Land by Harold Pinter with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, directed by Sean Mathias. Awesome.
Last film you saw: In Another Country, directed by Hong Sang-soo
Reading: I have a weakness for young-adult fiction. I’m reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and the last book I read was The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker.
Neighborhood spots: Rucola, Mile End, Fast & Fresh, Smith Canteen, Bedouin Tent, Little Sweet Cafe, GRDN, Eva Gentry
