Staff Travels: Colombia

Kate from our design team recently spent a few days in Cartagena, Colombia, and shared a few of her snapshots with us.

Cartagena, the old city, also called the walled city because a wall was built around the entire perimeter of the city to protect it from invaders and pirates back in the day. The streets are really interesting inside because they have both a Spanish and South American feel to them.  I’ve never really seen anything like it.

I took this picture standing on the city walls that surround the city.

This is from Rosario Island, which is about an hour away by boat from Cartagena and near a natural coral reef.  The island is about 8 miles wide and basically consists of hotels and resorts.  This was taken while lounging on beach chairs, taking in the moment.

A path in the middle of the island.

Many thanks to Kate! You can check out more of our staff travels here.
